Kenyan parliament clears central bank governor
Njuguna Ndung'u, governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, will have his name removed from a damning report into the collapse of the Kenyan shilling, after chaotic parliamentary debates saw lawmakers vote to absolve him of any personal responsibility.
Last month, the Report of the Parliamentary Select Committee on the Decline of the Kenya Shilling against Foreign Currencies was released, containing stinging criticism of Ndung'u, and calling for him to step down from his role.
