Sri Lanka holds rates on stable growth outlook

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka on January 11 left interest rates unchanged after strong growth figures reinforced the economy's positive outlook in 2012.

In its Monetary Policy Review, the central bank said the Sri Lankan economy grew by 8.4%, at an annualised rate, in the third quarter of 2011, compared with the corresponding period of 2010.
