Posen calls for UK version of Fannie Mae

Adam Posen, an external member on the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), on Tuesday called on the Bank of England and the UK government to explore new ways to stimulate the economy, including proposals for the establihment of a British Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to help boost lending in credit markets.
