BoJ minutes highlight concerns over shortage in nuclear energy

Minutes from the Bank of Japan's monetary policy meeting published on Friday show some members of the policy board were fearful constraints in energy supplies could hamper growth.

Members warned that if the resumption of operations at nuclear power plants around Japan were to be delayed by regular inspections, there was a risk that in the longer run firms' medium- to long-term growth expectations might decline, minutes from the June 13 and 14 meeting said.
