Sri Lanka allows renminbi in international transactions

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has added the renminbi to the list of currencies permitted to be used in international transactions through banks in Sri Lanka.

"China is recognised today as the world's second-largest economy, while also being a leading player in international trade, investments and foreign reserves," said the central bank's monetary board.
