IMF could remove Strauss-Kahn from post if required

Under the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the managing director "shall cease to hold office when the executive board so decides".

This could clear the path for the IMF to remove Dominique Strauss-Kahn from his position, should they wish to.

Following his arrest in New York City for the alleged sexual assault of a hotel employee, the IMF has made a few curt public announcements, but has not made clear what action they will take against the managing director.
