Bernanke to brief the press
Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, is to talk to the press four times a year.
The Fed said on Thursday that the chairman will hold the quarterly briefings "to present the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) current economic projections and to provide additional context for the FOMC's policy decisions".
The central bank added: "The introduction of regular press briefings is intended to further enhance the clarity and timeliness of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy
