Senior officials for new European regulators named

Regulators from European Union (EU) member states have made a series of appointments to the new European supervisory authorities launched earlier this year.

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (Eiopa) on Monday elected Victor Rod, the director of the Commissariat aux Assurances, Luxembourg, as its acting-chair. Rod will carry out the functions of chair until the board, which is made up of heads from national regulatory authorities across the EU, appoints a permanent chair
