BoC: Business Outlook Survey

The Bank of Canada's Business Outlook Survey, released on Friday, showed that businesses felt the economic recovery was progressing, but expected growth to remain modest.

The report said firms remained positive about the outlook over the next 12 months, but generally expected growth to be weak, owing in part to a more anaemic outlook for the United States economy.

Recognising the challenges that lie ahead, firms were increasingly focused on ways to enhance productivity and create new growth
