FSA’s Turner: regulator faces challenging transition period
Adair Turner, the chairman of the UK's Financial Services Authority (FSA), on Tuesday warned that transitional problems are likely to result from forthcoming structural reforms to the regulator.
In June George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced a series of structural reforms to the FSA that would split the organisation into a Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA), to be housed at the Bank of England, and an independent Consumer Protection and Markets Authority (CPMA).
