Bank of Israel – minutes of August rate decision

The Bank of Israel's interest rate discussions for August show that a rise was recommended by all participants. After no change in July, the rate of interest rose by 25 basis points, to 1.75%, this month.

"As stated in the reports of previous interest rate discussions, the Bank of Israel's policy is to continue with the gradual process of bringing the interest rate back to a more ‘normal' level intended to position inflation firmly within the target range," the minutes read..
