Malaysia's Zeti launches new Islamic finance task force
Zeti Akhtar Aziz, the governor of the Bank Negara Malaysia, on 6 July said concerns relating to financial stability in Islamic finance would be addressed through a new task force.
At a ceremony in Kuala Lampur, Zeti said Islamic finance had "come a long way and was set to continue its trajectory upwards and onwards." However, to remain effective and competitive it needed to "continue to evolve," she added.
