Botswana’s Mohohlo lauds accountants
Accountants are much more than "bean counters" and "number crunchers", Linah Mohohlo, the governor of the Bank of Botswana, said in early June.
This was not her view, she said in an address to the Botswana Institute of Accountants in Gaborone. Mohohlo noted that accountants have had to take on responsibilities outside their traditional roles. This had created a need for the profession to evolve and broaden its scope, she said, adding that the "demand for professionals with broad based business
