RBA's Stevens warns of high indebtedness in households sector

Glenn Stevens, the governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia, on Wednesday discussed some of the lessons from the eurozone's sovereign debt crisis.

In remarks to the Western Sydney Business Connection, Stevens said "potential vulnerabilities need to be addressed in good times, even when markets are not signalling unease, because by the time markets take notice and start responding seriously - which will usually be in bad times - the problem may have become pretty big."
