Bernanke on the success of stress testing program

Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, outlined the benefits of stress testing one year on after it unveiled a Supervisory Capital Assessment Program for US banks.

At his speech at the Chicago Federal Reserve's 46th Annual Conference on Bank Structure and Competition in Chicago, Bernanke commented on the assessment program and its effects and how its experience with the program during the crisis influenced the practice of banking supervision.
