Monthly bulletin (February) – ECB

Broad money growth in the euro area remained "broadly unchanged" last December, according to the February issue of the European Central Bank's (ECB) monthly bulletin, published on Tuesday.

M3, the ECB's broad money indicator, grew by 0.1 percentage points compared to November, coming in at -0.2% at the end of the year. The month-on-month growth rate of broad money also turned positive, gaining one percentage point in December to leave it at 0.5%. However, the central bank noted that this
