US can go it alone on reforms: Volcker

Paul Volcker, a former chairman of the Federal Reserve and the architect of the US president's recent banking reform proposal, said on Tuesday that if other financial centres with systemically important banks proved unwilling to follow its lead, the US could go it alone.
