Italy’s Visco on cross-border cooperation

Ignazio Visco, a deputy director general at the Bank of Italy, has said that many barriers exist in sustaining cooperative efforts between financial authorities.

Visco said on Friday the best way to foster further collaboration was to encourage a pro-reform attitude in the international monetary system to ensure efforts are translated into concrete action and maintain the momentum of existing collaborative initiatives.
