Euro notes can be washed - But not at 90 Celsius
That was the advice given by the Deutsche Bundesbank Friday in reaction to consumer concerns that the notes could shrink if washed by mistake.
While the notes are shrink-proof, even at high temperatures, washing them at 90 degrees Celsius could damage the aluminum hologram, which is one security feature.
