Vietnam appoints two new c bank deputy governors

VIETNAM - Vietnam's Prime Minister Phan Van Khai has appointed Phung Khac Ke and Vu Thi Lien as deputy governors of the State Bank of Vietnam, a central bank official said Friday.

"Vietnam's banking sector is undergoing a major restructure program, so we need additional staff who are experienced to make the sector more efficient," the official said.

"Mr. Ke has been general director of the Industrial & Commercial of Vietnam, which is one of the country's four large state-owned commercial banks,"
