ECB publishes monthly bulletin

The European Central Bank said it is monitoring prices closely to ensure that the eurozone escapes high inflation in the medium to long-term in its latest monthly bulletin.

The central bank said money and credit expansion, rising oil prices, and domestic factors were risks to medium and long-term price stability.

It added that it would ignore inflation rate volatility in the short run: "The relevant horizon for monetary policy is the medium term."
