BOJ's Hayami- Utmost being done on monetary policy

JAPAN - Governor of the Bank of Japan Masaru Hayami said on Monday that the central bank is doing its utmost to ease credit conditions.

The BOJ "is doing its utmost," Hayami told reporters after a meeting of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy.

Hayami said there were not requests made that the BOJ ease monetary policy further.

The BOJ's next policy board meeting is scheduled for Thursday and Friday of this week.
