Germany expects few ex rate developments at G7

The German government does not expect any significant developments on exchange rate policies at the upcoming Group of Seven (G7) meeting of industrialised nations, AFX quoted sources as saying.

Responding to speculation that the G7 might examine the issue of China's pegged exchange rate, the sources warned not to expect too much from the meeting, which starts in London on Friday 4 February. Putting pressure on China to change its policy would not help the situation, they said according to AFX.
