Crisis not over yet, says Netherlands' Wellink

Nout Wellink, the president of the Netherlands Central Bank, said the financial crisis is far from over, the US looks almost certain to go into recession and the rest of the world will suffer the consequences.

Wellink said in an interview on Dutch radio that growth in the so-far resilient euro-area economy could be set to fall.

The International Monetary Fund estimates that there is about a 25% chance of a global economic crisis as result of the US housing market troubles, he said, adding that
