B of E's King comes out on the attack

FEATURE - Bank of England governor in waiting Mervyn King showed what was described as a "flash of steel" by one newspaper when facing questions at Tuesday's parliamentary Treasury select committee meeting in London.

The committee has a reputation for no nonsense questioning and wastes no time in getting to the point. Mervyn King managed to maintain his composure until the committee pushed him just a little too far.

After being questioned on the Bank's inflation target, Andrew Tyrie MP, described
