Canada's Dodge at H of C Finance Committee

In his opening statement to the House of Commons Finance Committee given on 21 April, David Dodge of the Bank of Canada said preliminary indications are that growth in the first quarter of this year was marginally below 3 per cent. The Bank's view, he said, is that the economy is still operating significantly below its potential.

Dodge shrugged off the gap between the outlooks.
