RBA Financial Stability Review, September 2006

The Reserve Bank of Australia published the September 2006 edition of its Financial Stability Review on Thursday 28 September. Household balance sheets are in reasonable shape despite recent interest rate hikes, according to the latest Review.

In its half year review of the stability of Australia's financial system, the RBA said households have benefited from historically low levels of unemployment and significant gains in the value of financial assets over the past few years.
