Russia and Belarus agree on currency policy

The National Bank of Belarus and the Central Bank of Russia have approved a draft agreement between the governments and central banks of the two countries on common principles of currency regulation and control.

According to the document, Pyotr Prokopovich, Chairman of the National Bank of Belarus, and Sergey Ignatyev, Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia, met at a meeting of the Interbank Currency Council in the city of Vladimir on 13 February, and considered the amended draft agreement. A
