Bank of Thailand - Annual Report 2003

The Bank of Thailand has published its Annual Report for the year ended 2003. The Thai economy expanded well in 2003, growing by 6.7 percent which was higher than that of 5.4 percent in 2002. The main impetus to growth came from the continued increases in private consumption and exports. Meanwhile, private investment clearly picked up, the annual report said.

"The Thai economy is expected to carry on momentum in 2004 in line with the acceleration in private investment following increased demand
