Sylvia Piterman leaves Bank of Israel

Sylvia Piterman, who has worked at the Bank of Israel for over 25 years,and almost 10 of those years as Director of the Foreign CurrencyDepartment, will be leaving the bank in April 2001 or possibly earlier.

Mrs Piterman started working in the Bank in 1974 in the Research Department, in the monetary area, and in 1988 was appointed Director of the Monetary Department. Since 1991 Mrs Piterman has served as Director of the Foreign Currency Department, which manages Israel's foreign currency
