Guatemala hold suspects in c bank chief kidnapping

GUATEMALA - Guatemala said on Friday it captured a man and a woman suspected of participating in the 25 February kidnapping of central bank chief Lizardo Sosa.

Interior Minister Eduardo Arevalo Lacs said at a press conference Santiago Velis and Mayra Judith Mayen were arrested early on Friday morning following a joint operation by police and the military.

He said authorities were homing in on other suspects and that more arrests would follow shortly.
