Belarus c.bank to cut key rate to 80% 1 December

Belarus's central bank said on Wednesday it would lower its key refinancing rate to 80% annually from 85 percent, effective December 1. It said the current rate, effective since September 14, was being cut due to slower inflation, expected not to exceed 4.5% in November and December.

Consumer price growth slowed to 5.2% in October from 6.8% in the previous month, official statistics showed. The central bank, which has pledged tighter credit and monetary policies this year, links the refinancing
