Canada may lower inflation target

David Dodge, governor of the Bank of Canada, said Tuesday 21 March that it could be time to lower the BoC's two percent inflation target.

"We have seen a little more evidence that a slightly lower target might be appropriate going forward but as we've said, we'd have to see pretty strong evidence, for this renewal, that this was the case before we would propose that," Dodge told a press conference in Toronto.
