Buba views on Eurozone enlargement upset hopefuls

The Bundesbank's bid to make joining the Eurozone tougher for eager east European applicants has upset candidates but analysts said it will be politically impossible to make the demand stick.

The German central bank spoke against letting new members into the monetary union too fast after they join the EU, as they may destabilise the Eurozone by pushing for soft European Central Bank policies as they catch up with western GDP levels.
