Sri Lanka holds rates at 10.5%

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka's rate-setting board voted to keep rates at 10.5% for the 11th month in a row on Thursday.

The central bank's decision was widely expected after inflation remained high in December. The New Colombo Consumers' Price Index registered an inflation rate of 18.8% last month, a slight fall from the 19.3% rate recorded for November.
