Poland set to join ERM II in 2009, says Skrzypek

Slawomir Skrzypek, the governor of the National Bank of Poland, said the country looked likely to join the pre-euro exchange rate mechanism, ERM II, in 2009.

According to Thomson Financial, Skrzypek told reporters: "If the decision on entering the exchange rate mechanism would be taken at the turn of 2008 to 2009, then 2009 is the most likely year to start the process."
