Ukraine’s central bank calls for action against illegal forex dealers
NBU says authorities failed to act against 32 illegal operations in Kyiv
Ukraine's central bank says the country's law enforcement agencies failed to crack down on illegal currency exchanges, despite having been given information on unlicensed dealers.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) says it "uncovered 32 illegal currency exchange offices operating illegally" in the country's capital Kyiv during inspections carried out in October.
The NBU says it passed this information on November 1 to Ukraine's law enforcement agencies, including the ministry of internal affairs
