Conundrum facing reserve managers set to continue, say Nalm speakers

The challenge of falling yields on traditional investments at a time when the risks of these investments is rising looks set to continue for the foreseeable future, according to speakers at National Asset-Liability Management Middle East 2012. The changing dynamics for G7 sovereign debt is a particular problem for central bank reserve managers and the trend is likely to be exacerbated by the amount of reserves chasing similar assets is expected to continue to rise.
