Venezuela may join Russian card network

Mir system suffered major setbacks last year after US warning

Venezuela may soon be integrated into Russia’s Mir card system, according to the foreign ministers of the two countries.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Caracas, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said the two countries were examining ways to avoid sanctions and control of financial architecture.
