Monetary policy committee member advocates stronger measures to alter market expectations

A key policy adviser to the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) has called for stronger fiscal and monetary policies to stimulate the economy.

Huang Yiping, a member of the PBoC’s monetary policy committee, was speaking at a conference in May on Chinese economic policies. However, his comments were only published on August 1 on the official social media account of Peking University’s National School of Development.
