Weidmann clashes with Lagarde on policy outlook

Bundesbank president said policy may have to tighten just after Lagarde said it would likely stay loose

Jens Weidmann and Christine Lagarde gave markedly contrasting speeches on November 19, underscoring the divide on the European Central Bank’s (ECB) governing council.
