Turkish central bank sees inflation outlook improving

Inflation undershot forecasts in latest period, having overshot them earlier in 2018

The outlook for inflation in Turkey is improving, the central bank says, though inflation was still over 20% in December.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey published its latest inflation report today (January 30). Its previous forecast, in October, envisaged inflation of around 22% in December, even in the best-case scenario. The actual result was 20.3%.
