Eurozone growth showing signs of ‘moderation’, Draghi says
ECB president says recovery is continuing; temporary factors may be slowing growth
European Central Bank president Mario Draghi said economic growth in the eurozone would continue despite some signs it was slowing, as he announced that monetary policy would remain unchanged.
The eurozone’s average annual GDP growth in 2017 had been “the highest since 2007” at 2.4%, Draghi said today (April 26), at a press conference at the end of the ECB governing council’s monetary policy meeting. But he noted that “the latest economic indicators suggest some moderation in the pace of growth
