Eurozone inflation rises in March

Prices rose year-on-year by 1.4% last month, up from 1.1% in February

Inflation in the eurozone is estimated to have risen annually by 1.4% in March, up from 1.1% in February, according to provisional figures from Eurostat.

The ‘food, alcohol and tobacco’ category led the increase, rising by 2.2%. Energy prices ranked second, increasing by 2%, services rose by 1.5%, and non-energy industrial goods lagged behind at 0.2%.
