Bank of England - Asset Purchase Facility Report (First Quarter 2011)

The Bank of England's latest quarterly report of its asset purchase facility, published on Tuesday, shows the Bank's decision to adapt reserve prices on its Corporate Bond Secondary Market Scheme successfully increased sales in the paper.

On November 15, 2010, the Bank said it would adapt its reserve prices in the Corporate Bond Secondary Market Scheme to permit relatively more sales of corporate bonds. The Bank said the move was taken after evidence showed conditions in the corporate bond
