Bank of England - Asset Purchase Facility Report (Fourth Quarter 2010)

The Bank of England's latest quarterly report of its asset purchase facility, published on Monday, shows the Bank's Secured Commercial Paper (SCP) facility was accessed for the first time since it opened on August 3, 2009.

The SCP facility was launched as part of the asset purchase facility to support the flow of credit to a broad range of corporates. The Bank said on November 15, 2010 it had recognised the eligibility of a programme for the SCP facility and made its first purchase of secured
