Riksbank removes tolerance interval in monetary policy target

The Riksbank has eliminated the tolerance interval in describing its monetary policy objective, a report published Thursday by the central bank showed.

The report, entitled Monetary Policy in Sweden, said the previous monetary policy objective was expressed as "ensuring that the annual change in the consumer price index is to be 2% with a tolerance interval of plus/minus 1 percentage point."

Stefan Ingves, the Riksbank's governor, said the central bank had decided to remove the tolerance
