OIG says Bostic violated Fed’s rules and policies

Atlanta Fed president created “appearance of acting on confidential FOMC information”

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has ruled that the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta violated the Federal Reserve’s rules and policies surrounding trading.

The OIG said on September 4 that between 2017 and 2021 Raphael Bostic had violated Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) rules and reserve bank policies concerning blackout periods, financial disclosures, prohibited holdings and pre-clearance requirements.
