PBoC welcomes anti-corruption probe into deputy governor
PBoC removes Fan Yifei from list of top officials and releases statement supporting investigation
China’s top anti-corruption watchdog said on November 5 that it is investigating Fan Yifei, one of six deputy governors of the People’s Bank of China, over “suspected serious violations of discipline and law”.
The central bank removed Fan from the list of the PBoC’s top executives on its website and released a statement welcoming the investigation. Fan has served as deputy governor at the central bank since 2015.
