SNB head to face council over sexism allegations – media reports

Lawmakers demand answers on treatment of women after report alleges sexist culture at SNB

The head of Switzerland’s central bank will appear before its governing council next week to discuss allegations that female staff face entrenched discrimination, media reports said.

Thomas Jordan will meet the council on Monday, October 12 over growing concerns about the treatment of female staff, Bloomberg News reported today (October 9). The SNB sent a statement to Central Banking today strongly denying allegations of sexism and bullying.
